Over the years, we've had the privilege to create a wide variety of trawler yachts. These have ranged from small and simple vessels to larger ones with all the comforts of home. These opportunities have come through commissions from yachtsmen with typically decades of experience, and the resulting boats show not only their tastes but their experiences, sea time and wisdom.

The group of "Deadrise Boat" designs are based on simple, sawn frame construction. The Ladybug and Strumpet variations were outgrowths from them. The Benford 30 series has been built in wood, steel, ferro and from a fiberglass mold. The larger trawlers are both somewhat conventional and somewhat unconventional, with influences spilling over from our Coaster types. Some were designed for serious ocean cruising for the serious long-distance voyagers.

They all, large and small, have features that were tailored to suit the individual clients. Those with variations shown have often had more than one client, each with their own desires for their own ideal liveaboard and cruising yacht. Which one would you like to have?…
